To lovers of the euphoric, the name Matt Darey should need no introduction. Whilst Europes burgeoning trance scene has created such talents as Ferry Corsten, Paul Van Dyk, and DJ Tiesto, Matt Darey has been flying the flag for British brilliance at trance production since the sound first burst to prominence in the mid-1990’s. Since the days of Goa Trance, Matt has produced some of the finest production moments in the trance scene to date. As a key producer and remixer on labels such as Positiva, Ministry of sound’s Incentive Label, Hooj Choons, Wonderboy and a host of others, he has delivered a host of huge tunes- unbelievable remixes of ATB – Till I Come, Three Drives- Grease 2000, BINARY FINARY - 1999, Westbam - Wizards of the Sonic, Grace- Not Over yet, and Gabriel - Rise that stick in the mind of anyone to have entered at trance club in the last 5 years. As an artist himself produced UK chart topping tunes such as Liberation (Fly Like an Angel) (U.k top20), Matt Darey Pres DSP, From Russia With Love (u.k top 30), as well as the incomparable U.K top 10 hit Beautiful . Matt has also produced, under the guises of Li Kwan and Lost Tribe with the legendary hits “Gamemaster” and “Point Zero” It is no exaggeration to say that Matt Darey's remixes and productions have been responsible for many of the massive tunes that made trance a household name in 1999-2000 selling well over two million records and albums with the Darey imprint.

It is perhaps then no surprise that when Telstar in the UK decided to break the mould of trance compliations with their incredible Euphoria series that they chose Matt Darey the DJ to mix, and produce four of what was to become a series of extremely high profile (with UK national TV and Press campaigns) set of MIX Cd’s. Eurporia CDs have since become the highest profile uplifting CD series in the UK and Matt has played no small part, though his great DJing, track selection, and production contributions to the series in raising it to the stratosphere. Like Van Dyk and Ferry Corsten, Matt has been a seminal influence on the formation of the UK trance scene- influencing producers such as Above and Beyond, Darren Tate, Mike Koglin, Michael Woods and many others.

Matt has DJed across the UK, headlining many Euphoria club nights in the UK and abroad, and his DJing travels have already taken him to Japan, Singapore, America, Spain, South Africa and Australia and across the UK; from Clubs from Heaven, The Fridge, The Camden Palace, the Emprorium, Room at The Top, The Liquid Rooms, Code Tokyo, Velfarre, and a host of other quality events as a DJ Matt breaks the mold by cutting scores of unreleased CDR -trance tunes that you wont hear for six months in his sets, and also dropping in exclusive mixes of both unreleased older tunes, classics for sure dancefloor mayhem. Matt is hitting 2004 with a bang - as well as a new column in the new U.K club mag Klub Knowledge, mixing and compliing a whole new set of Euphoria albums, along with hard label mate, Lisa Lashes, and he has re-launched his label- Mash-Up, which along with Incentive promises to release a new string of sonic weapons of trance onto the unsuspecting dancefloor. These include Lost Tribe - Possessed and the long awaited Trance classic remake of Li Kwan's - Point Zero. He has recently finished a collaboration with Tall Paul that is set for release later this year as and there is a collaboration with Tomcraft in the pipeline. Meanwhile he will using Mash-Up his label to showcase a a darker more electro production recently and as a DJ will be both trance and banging hard trance sets.
